A rose is a rose...

...Unless its developed and propagated by Abraham at the largest source of roses in Kenya. After our safari we went to Oserian's flower farm. The roses we get most likely come from here. Abraham showed us how he goes about developing new varieties of roses.

He is pointing to a sign for a new variety that doesn't have a name yet, just a number!

Abraham shows us how a new rose variety is grafted onto another root stock.

And here is the start of a new hybrid rose. They use coconut husks as medium due to its minimal bacteria content.

Everything is hydroponically grown and Eco-friendly. Google it!

We were in a relatively "small" propagating greenhouse. The growing greenhouse processes and ships a million flowers a day!

Thank you to Miriam's brother in law, Nick, who works for Oserian, for arranging for our tour!

Here's a new one! You saw it first!!!
